Omega Race multi-game PCB on Arcade Shop

It's emulation goofball.

you legally cannot say that it's MAME because of the MAME terms of use.
its not MAME because we do not use MAME. LOL you might want to educate yourself of the difference. we use a custom emulator designed specifically for my hardware. mame cannot create accurate draw routines and MAME cannot chase the beam. MAME can never be accurate because of the tile system it uses to create its images.

Someone on KLOV was selling reproduction Omega Race PCB's a few years ago. I would think that it would be a faithful accurate board compared to an original Midway PCB.

Many years ago, Douglasgb, independently, followed the KLOV long-time "tradition" of recreating 1:1 PCBs for those specific boards which were prone to damage or rare or "in demand". These were tailored for the collector(s) who honestly believed in "preservation" of the intent of the original game design (and designers).

He made the Omega Race motherboard which is now available at Paradise Arcade Shop.

As most know, before the Evil Atari Konsortium (EAK!!!) rose from the depths of ArcadeHell and got their dirty slimy hands on PCB repros, the Major Havoc and Quantum 1:1 PCBs were produced by avid honest collectors as well. Those were "the good ol' days". IMHO Those days are now long gone. Less of us are now making affordable 1:1 repros - at least not Atari branded ones. What does that say for the hobby? Humm - make your own judgments.

Now that all said, I do have Zonn's ZVG VectorMAME multigame in my collection which I built myself in a Gravitar cabinet (which maintains all the original wiring etc). It runs VectorMAME on DOS. How well does it work? Well, from my point of view, it works fine and I'm able to faithfully play and enjoy all sorts of color (and B/W) vectors for which I don't own an original cabinet. This includes rare titles such as Cosmic Chasm and Aztarac and Zektor etc. But if I had a choice, I would always prefer to play any original game on original hardware in an original cabinet. /the_end

YES i am sure you understood what i said but in case you have not i am speaking of non original hardware. a clone of original is still original

yes i have also made reproduction omega race pcbs. in fact every few months i make a 1:1 reproduction of original hardware of some type so the good ole days are still here,
the reason this omega race pcb exists is for those who have better taste than a zvg. you can't get this level of accuracy with MAME. lets be honest here mame SUCKS
if anyone is interested i also sell 1:1 boards

A clone of original is still a clone/reproduction.

Still a much better option than emulation.
yup
here is another way to think of it. for those who enjoy playing their machines my pcb keeps the entire harness fully intact and undamaged and allows you to play the most accurate omega race emulation ever accomplished. now you can PRESERVE the orginal pcb and actually play more games. this pcb has already saved hundreds of omega race cabinets by retaining the original harness and allowing future owners to retain originality.

I don't know who made this. It is being sold on Arcade Shop.
There is no reference to you in the text description on the AS website link above. My initial post was to get answers from someone who actually owns this board. It would be nice if the Arcade Shop description included more information.

It does say Arcade Jason on the PCB...
