I am working on my omega race mini a little bit today.

I haven't tried a monitor in it yet, though danindenver sold me a rebuilt 15" to throw in there. It already comes with omega race burn. :)

As I am getting ready to plug it in, I notice that the wiring harnes side of the moles only has 11 of the 12 positions filled with a wire.

The monitor has wires in all 12 positions.

the molex definitely fits together. This monitor that I am using has definitely spent many many years in an omega race mini.

Do I need to be worried about plugging this in? Someone before mentioned something about a g05 802 and a g05 801 not having similar pinouts for interchangeability as far as plug and play.

I look at my battlezone(mini) and it has wires in all 12 positions both harness side and monitor side. I have tested this omega race monitor and it works.

paranoid? or just plug that bitch in?

the wire missing in question from the harness side on OR is the middle top position, it's a black wire on the monitor side

I guess the other way I would phrase my question:

I was told that the g05 802 and the v2000 can be plug and play, and I proved that when testing one of my monitors.

Was there a 15" version of the g05-801? And is it possible that's what my cab is designed for, therefore making my current monitor (not plug and play, v2000)

well I looked at the manual online and it looked like an 802 or v2000 so I plugged it in.
nothing blew up, but the spot killer was on.

didn't bother testing for voltages yet, though I wouldn't know where to test on this yet anyway.

I know that the v2000 and the 802 are the same. But the 801 isnt but can be used with the harness in the game if youhave the adaptor. Why you are missing that one wire Iam not sure but I would get the schematic for that deflection board and figure out where the wire goes and also see if the schematic show the wiring for that plug and see if it goes to jamma plug and power supply. the only thing I can remember is that on the tube there was an add wire on one of the model for the 802. I think for the g1 line. but cant remember and I am not at my games to tell you. Sorry. Well check back daily for your up dates. Can help you on wednesday. I think..

Does it play blind ? It could still be your boardset too.
it doesn't play blind, but I am not sure if I am in test mode or not either.
I've only fired it up a few times. On about 1/2 of the occasions I hear what I decipher as standard game sound explosions and beeps. Then it stops. Doesn't coin up. I would like to determine that my power supply is working before I do much else I suppose.

yeah I don't know why the wiring harness doesn't have the 1 wire. No sure what you are referring to concerning jamma.

I looked it up on crazykong.com earlier and poked around for a few minutes.

I think my next move is to determine if the power supply is working then move on after I get that information.

anyone care to show me the test points on that board? or the main board for that matter.

I have the schematic for the power supply for an asteroid game but not sure if that the same as your game.. and I am not at where that game is at.

I had a go5 802 in my omega and tested my v2000 in it and they are plug and play

Quick and easy way to see if the PS has the +5 and +12 is to measure across the capacitors on that board. Sounds like you have +12 because you heard some sounds. You have to turn that game off to move it in and out of test if I remember correctly.
