@HudsonArcade this looks like your kit. It stopped saving scores. Do I just get a new NVRAM and replace it? Other solutions?

@mattosborn I got this from you. Any chance you remember when you put it in?

Thanks guys

34 year old chip -- unsurprising the battery finally gave out.
Any 2kx8 DIP BRAM/NVRAM should work.

Ha Ha. Yeah. I wasn't completely sure if 91 was the year or not. Anyway, I thought the "kit" might be more than an adapter. Now that I pulled it, I see what it is.

@mattosborn happy to buy an NVRAM off you. Just let me know in PM how you want to proceed. Thanks!

The kid supports doing logic on the positive and negative chip selects to make a single /CS for the NVRAM, but most games don't use the positive CS, so the logic just gets jumpered over.

As you know, the old chip was a DS1220. Any reason a ST M48Z12 wouldn't work?

Yeah, they're basically equivalent.
You just need to be careful going to FRAM since they need /CS to toggle between accesses when most other SRAMs don't.
Thanks. I figured. I asked since I got a new chip from Matt but it is not working either. Looking into it. Adjusting voltages, etc.
