Now that OmegaMan has brought my Omega Race PCB back from the dead...
He has inspired me to give it a go and repair another Omega Race PCB I
bought. This one isnt as Acid damaged as the one he fixed, but should be a
challenge given this is my first board repair.
First up is cleaning the board and unsoldering all the acid affected
components. This picture is fresh out of the sink where I scrubbed it
with a tooth brush. I still need to do some more desoldering to clean out the
holes. That acid cooked solder is a bitch to remove. I need to get some
liquid flux to help out. I went beyond the obvious affected area a bit but
those chips were really clean so hopefully they are good.
