Just putting the finishing touches on an Omega Race PCB repair and I'm a bit stumped. CP360-CP362 were missing when I received the board and the parts diagram is saying these are .01MF, 25v capacitors BUT CP363 is also listed as a capacitor but it looks like it's a very large value resistor?

Anybody know for sure what should go in locations CP360-CP362?

Thanks,
Jeff

p.s. Also, what is the "CP" designation for?

Replace what schematics call for. Capacitors don't always look like a can. Indeed some do resemble a resistor.

I don't have an OR board to look at or any pics handy, but the schematic indicates that those caps are simple power decoupling caps so they are not critical. Any standard ceramic or poly film part rated 10 nF (0.01 uF) to 100 nF (0.1 uF) and 50V to 100V will do.

As for the "CP", maybe it just means "cap film" but that's only a guess.

Thanks guys. I'm going with .01uF, >= 25v capacitors.

If I wasn't color blind, I'd be able to tell you the color code for what is in CP363's place... maybe I'll get my 6 year old daughter to help me out. She gets a kick out of telling Daddy what colors are. :D

Thanks again!

Nope... just a large (in since they're normally measured in pf) valued cap... green w/ 4-5 colored bands?

Yep, that's exactly what they are. Well... green as a 6 year old sees it because it looks brown to me. ;)

Thanks again guys.
