I have an Omega Race cabaret / mini cab and it's missing anything that a monitor could attach to. I've seen all the images I can by doing a Google Image Search on various terms, but does anyone have any information or pictures on how the monitor is actually supposed to be fastened to the cab?

It's fastened horizontally to a piece of plywood that rests along the inside parallel to the top edge of the control panel. It's held in place with four bolts lagged through that plywood and to the frame of the vector monitor.

Well, OK. There is this:

And I see my first problem is that my monitor does not have a cage. But whatever, I can make that.

Is the monitor in the picture up there bolted at the sides? Or just one row of bolts up front (where we can't see in that photo)?

You monitor does have the cage but it's from another vector most likely pulled from a cocktail since the orientation of the bolts are different. Change the bolts and fasten them to the bottom of the frame... Have a look at my pictures and you'll have your answer:

Your Omega Race mini is very cool. First time I had ever played that game was when I was picking up the Pinbot and the cabaret cab is just too cool.

Thanks! It was nice to have met up with you when you were over as well. You should try playing it with the ORDS encoder wheel in it-- fantastic!

On a side note, how's that Pinbot coming along? I seen somewhere that you were tearing down the playfield and spiffing it all up?

You're welcome, let us know how it goes and show us some more pictures!

Yep. It's about 90% rebuilt and I just haven't had time in the last week to finish it. I tore down the playfield, cleaned it, waxed it, and am putting it back together with a new set of plastics. I also rebuilt a few parts like the pop bumpers, slingshot kickers and flippers. Didn't replace any mylar or touch up any paint although there are only a few spots that could use it... and most of them are hidden. So, I just have to finish putting the visor assembly back together and re-attach the pop-bumper assemblies under the playfield and it should be ready to go. I can't wait to get it back up and running again. I'll post some pics of the process once I'm done.
