Does anyone know of a part number for a replacement of the 72 pin edge connector on an Omega Race board? I bought a connector from Bob Roberts, but accidentally ordered the 'solder eylet' type. Looking at the website, I'm not sure the other type he has will work either as the pins may be too thick.

Has anyone replaced one of these, or know what search terms I should use on Mouser?
Here's a picture of part of the one I removed, and the solder eylet version I bought:

I don't know about a replacement, though there was a thread a while back about various card edge connectors being discontinued, so that may have been one. Acid eaten Omega Race boards are abundant and pretty cheap though... if all else fails, you could snag one off that. Or maybe cut/mash the solder eyelets to fit, though that'd probably be pretty difficult.

Hmm. Yeah, I remember looking for a suitable replacement (for Space Invaders) a while back - couldn't find anything that looked like it would work. The other one Bob has might just work, but like you, I don't know if the pins are too big to fit.

Even if you could find another connector of a different length, it could be cut and joined to fit, provided you could find one where the pins actually fit into the holes on the board.
