I found some old posts on this subject but never saw a resolution.
I have a 19" K4900 that was blowing the 10uf100v C702. Replaced
D702, R702, C702 and the flyback. The monitor will work briefly but
start smoking R702. Once R702 opens up C702 then blows. My B+ is good.
I have to pull the whole monitor off location and examine this one in
the shop.
Has anyone else ever seen this problem ? My next step looks like checking the
neck board. I see the 175 volt line going to a .01uf500v cap, I'm wondering if
that cap is leaking or shorting the 175v line to ground.
Anyone else come across this problem ? K4900's are usually a snap for me.
Never been stumped by one before.
Thanks,
JD
