"Old School" Mountain Dew Multicade

Sombody named Jessixx stopped by about 1.5 years ago trying to sell one. If you want to relive an old school price police beat down here is the link. [WARNING: This thread is rated R for gratutious Violence, sarcasm and wit].

Unfortunately, these "prizes" were given to people who did not fully understand what they were getting and now that they have figured out that they have no use for them, they are simply passing on the BS they were handed along with the keys. So don't abuse them because of their ignorance.

On the other hand, if one of you who supposedly know better try pulling this, it's open season :D

haha, i just read the old thread, she got butt slammed!!!

win win win win win warning win

LOL, just read the old post. Classic.

I would have bought one of those costco ones for 200... When I saw them there they wanted like 3000 for them

Did they have arcade mons, or computer mons?

Looks like the game list includes Atari 2600 games. Pitfall 2 was awesome.

There was also an arcade game from Sega based on the Atari one. It's a bit different, but was called Pitfall 2. That's probably what's on the machine. Also, I imagine part of the cost of these was the licensing for the ROM's. I can't imagine Mountain Dew would give away a MAME cab without licensed ROM's.

i thought mame wasnt supposed to be used for commercial purposes

I don't believe it is MAME. IIRC, it is a set of emulators written by the vendors (think Williams Classic Arcade for the PC or the Atari game sets) stitched together with a custom MtDew branded front end.

Remember the one that Lady was trying to sell here and things got crazy ? That was funny !

I think that Jessixx got slammed a little too much. She didn't have any knowledge of what she had, only what she was told by the people that gave it to her. Of course just coming on here and throwing a 3k price tag on it was stupid. What she should have done was take offers and get an idea of its worth or just toss it on Ebay. No different than the guy that is selling a Super Pac-Man for $800 on CL right now.

If you wish to relive the slamdown, I posted the link earlier. Just look for my first post in this thread.
