Anybody doing anything cool with old balls "He said old balls" out of pinball machines? I was thinking of making some key chains.

I have a 4 section candy machine, and the handle is broken off one of the coin mechs, so I am going to start filling that section with old pinballs next time I have to change any out.

Pete filled a gum ball machine with them. It looked really cool, I would have never thought of it but after seeing it makes a great prop in a game room

A gumball machine would look great!

I have to ask since I'm still a green pea in the pin world, why would you have to replace your balls?

Everytime I shop or thoroughly clean a 'new' pin (new to me) and bring it into the gameroom, I change the balls. Old balls can be chipped, worn and dirty. Balls in that condition act like wrecking balls covered with fine grit sandpaper.....Besides they new balls are purty!

I have a buddy that makes these. They are hand tied para-cord with a pin ball core then dipped in polyurathane. With the split ring he gets $10 plus shipping. Not sure of all the colors but I know he can do several including a camo-pink.

Any interest?? I am thinking of throwing up a general interest thread for him and perhaps getting him on klov.

this is what I do with them...takes about 15 minutes to make, and they are deadly.

It's hard to talk about balls without sounding like a 4th grader, isn't it? :D

If it wouldn't be so hard to make the holes, you could make a Newton's Cradle.

What the hell...a pin bolo? :p

I guess that is a way to look at it!! I'm going with key ring!

Speaking of, if anyone is interested in one pm me and we can go from there.

I pulled 5 out of this machine i'm not going to use. Like to do something with them. Wonder how hard it would be to make one oof those things you see people put on there desk were it has 5 or 6 balls and when you hit the outside one the one at the opposite kicks out. (If any of that makes sense).
