Okay, so I'm about to have a crapton of noob questions...

Drilled out the lock on my Space Shuttle just now, opened it up, peered inside the cabinet of a pinball machine for the first time since my pre-driving teenage years..

Totally just had that "What the HELL AM I DOING?!?" moment.... ugh.

Looks like there's an awful lot of questionable soldering, 80 miles of wire, and the Williams sticker by the right flipper button is burnt, but there's no sparking there that I can tell? (Lots of sparking off of the flipper relays near the coils themselves though... >_<)

Anyways..more to the point...is there a more active pinball forum than here, or is it just the ABP newsgroup? I'm going to have a ton of questions and I definitely don't want to feel like I'm constantly just flooding the board with stupid requests. Clearly, this process has already started with my ignorance of pin prices... :|

I want to get working on this thing ASAP.

rec.games.pinball is waaaay more active than this forum. problem is that it is so active that your post can end up on page 2 in an hour, and go unnoticed, so be prepared to bump it.

the pinside forum is OK too, but not a whole lot more active than this one.

i'm sure there are others, those are just the only other two i ever look at...

Go do some reading and research yourself first, most of the stuff you can figure out yourself.

pinwiki.com

That way you won't need to ask questions that have been answered already, plus you'll learn how to work on them, which is half the fun :)
