Okay, I'm PISSED

You know, whomever packed this game for shipment was just asking for it to be damaged.

The pallet is barely the same size as the top of the cab, there is no padding for the corners, no padding or bracing over the top glass, etc.

If you want to ship something valuable and be sure that it will arrive undamaged, then you need to consider every worst-case shipping scenario you can and try to prepare for that. I try to make it so it can fall over and still be okay.

There's no way I would have shipped a cocktail game like that....

The shot from the fork lift smashed part of the top wood. Im afraid the end game would have been the same in this case with the force of impact:(
UPS seems to be taking responsibllity.

So I'm looking at an Ebay auction for a Satan's Hollow I've wanted for a long time. I called NAVL and they quote me something like $450 to ship it from Michigan to Memphis, TN. "No thanks" I said. I called LTL and they quote me $225. Great! So I bid and win the auction. I call LTL back to arrange shipping. Now THEY"RE quoting me $450! This is a deal breaker and could result in my first negative feedback ever after well more than 200 auctions since 2001. This is why I avoid game auctions requiring shipping. It's too much hassle.

have had 2 deliveries, 2 perfect experiences.

Unfortunately with a shipping quote and a valid quote number, you can still get screwed.

I bought a project Star Wars on eBay that was in California, I had a quote from a carrier that ended up interlining the game with another carrier. When the second carrier picked it up along the route, they "reclassified" the freight type and demanded almost $300 extra upon delivery.

I fought with the carrier for a couple of weeks while the game sat in a local terminal, eventually the seller agreed to split the overage with me because he was a retailer that had arranged the quote in the first place. Still sucked though for all parties involved and I had to retreive the game myself from the terminal.
