Clev, if I did it would be next summer prolly... And that is even just in the maybe stages!
The question is... Is it more adventages to sell my games back here, then rebuy them out there to not pay to ship them all... Or are the games just not available out there, so I am better off bringing mine... Try to gauge that!
Cartouche; thanks for the call man! Always nice to get another perspective!
Now, that's a completely different question. Based on your collection...and my obsessive watching of AZ craigslist, I bring you the following observations.
1. I would say that 75% of all games you will purchase living in Tucson, are going to require 1 1/2+ hour travel into Phoenix Metro area. Have a truck, and factor in the gas cost/wife factor if you have one.
2. The market is weird here. I swear your best bet might be to sell your collection, buy used quads, and trade them for your games. All joking aside, cash is king...like everywhere else. Rare to find hobbiest out here wanting to trade (other than perhaps on this forum).
3. Say goodbye to (most) water damage! It's hot and dry here...machines stay in better shape.
4. Expect lots of trips to Glendale. It always seems to be where something I really want is.
5. If you are crazy, you can always make the trip to New Mexico, Nevada, and Cali.
Here's my quick thoughts on your collection. I don't know what you can get on the east coast, but I have to imagine you can sell for higher prices out there. I rarely see any cab that hasn't taken at least a mild amount of beating out here. Expect to spend cash on replacement art for almost anything, if you are somewhat OCD.
After Burner - Don't see a ton of these listed. I'm sure if you wait it out, one would show.
Asteroids - Come up all the time on CL. It seems like most the classic Atari games are easy to get out here. $200-$400
Baby Pac-Man - These show up from time to time as well, always seem to be a bit beat up, expect a project. $200-$400
Bubbles - Never seen it listed. If you like it, bring it.
BurgerTime- Rarely listed, maybe seen one over the last couple of years. $400+ but who knows...
Demolition Derby - Never seen.
Die Hard Arcade Videogame - Hard for me to say, I probably ignored it if it was listed.
Dominos - No Clue
Gauntlet - Used to see them a couple of years ago with more frequency. If you wait, you can land one. $300+
Granny And The Gators - Better bring this along if you care for it.
Joust Pinball - This better come along too.
Karate Champ - There is a guy out here trying to sell a very nice one for $400. Almost can't give it away. Been trying for months.
Millipede - They show up, artwork always beat to tar...expect a project. Should be a cheap beat up cab though. $100-$300
Missile Command Cockpit - Better bring this...you would be very lucky to find it out here.
Neo Geo MVS - Constantly being sold. $200-$400. Going to need a little work.
Punch-Out!! - Don't see these often (can't remember the last time). If it shows up, you are going to have a fight for it.
Rampart - Bring it
Return Of The Jedi - Bring it, or get ready to pay up.
Satan's Hollow - Haven't ever seen one listed, I would bring if you care.
Space Invaders - These don't show up that often. I would be tempted to bring.
Star Wars - These get listed out here, in the $1000-$2000 range. Folks usually know they can get some cash for them.
Stocker - Bring if you like it, haven't seen one listed.
Super BurgerTime - Never seen one sold.
Super Mario Bros. - These show up, $200ish, in need of help $400ish in good shape. Expect to see more converts than wide bodies.
Tapper - Still haven't seen a tapper out here. I would guess $500+ depending on shape and luck.
Track & Field - Not sure...
Tron - You're going to pay $500ish for a fixer upper, and you are going to have to be quick with snagging it. Or, get ready to shell out the $1000-$2000 that some recent movie goer thinks he can sell one for.
Warlords - Haven't seen one listed in a long while (ever?)
