Ok, what the heck is wrong with some of these sellers?

I just saw a Centipede cabaret relisted on Ebay not too far from me. The original listing had NO pictures, then after I messaged and asked for some, he put up a single shot of the screen in attract mode (so, at least it powers up).

Why the hell would someone think they are going to sell something for $450, completely sight unseen? Especially since the last one that sold on Ebay went for $300! If I hadn't bugged him originally, I don't think he'd have put up any pics. I've asked for cabinet pics, but I doubt they will appear. And then it will go unsold. Again. Wouldn't you think he'd be making SOME attempt to make the listing more attractive to buyers?

That kind of think just annoys me so much...

Instead of complaining here.. Why not email the guy and ask to go see it? Bring cash and make an offer.. People are lazy, people suck, that's life man.

Centipede is a good cabaret.

He probably got lazy re: pictures because he won't have a problem selling it one way or another (as long as it works).

Good point, I would ask them to email me some photos.
Might be better than you think and since there was no photos, it might keep other people away from it, giving you the chance to get it.

I've cashed in on sellers who didn't include photos or took shitty ones.. Looked for a vintage diesel Mercedes for almost a year and a half.. Looked at more than 50 and most were total garbage. Noticed an eBay auction for one somewhat local and contacted the seller. He had posted a couple photos, but they were so small you couldn't even tell it was a car.

He claimed the car had extremely low mileage and zero rust, yeah right this is new England and the car is an 1984. No one bid because of his terrible photos. Took a ride down with cash, found out the car was in a private collection and had lived in Texas it's whole life. Scored an easy 10k car for $3500 cause he lost storage..

So yeah, sometimes it works out in your favor!

One of my favorite gripes. Not so much eBay as CL.

A text only ad that says 'email for pics'.

Really? It doesn't cost anything to include a pic or three in the ad and if you already have them available for email just put em in the ferschlugin ad already!
