From eBay:

This purchased item information is no longer available.

  • There are a number of reasons why this information isn't available. The most common reason is that item details for purchases are not kept for more than 90 days.
What is it?

"This purchased item information is no longer available."

If it's a standard upright cab, yes they can be transported on their back fine. Before you load it up though, make sure everything is bolted down, and nothing is loose that could bounce around and damage parts.

you may want to put a blanket under it to ease any wear on the back as you push it into place.

Oh, and you may want to still strap it in place so it can't slide against the tail gate or back window.

I'm sorry, but it ebay posting was taken down. What is it?

Edit: annd yes like Osver said. Make sure every thing is bolted down tight, if your just going to go for it.

Normally a game can be laid on it's back, as long as the back is flat. Make sure the monitor is secured so it won't slide, and take out any loose items that might fall around a get or cause damage...

Transport

It is no big deal. Like mod said, Make sure the monitor is secure as well as the power brick. You can put the power cord inside the back door on most cabs or pull it out on newer ones to keep it from being dammaged. Before you turn it on after the mooke, look inside real good and make sure a loose screw or dislodged quarter is not going to short something out.

ok, AND are they really 210 lbs?!?

Ok and are these really 210 lbs?!?!

You could bring shrinkwrap and some tarps and be really careful wrapping it, but if you have a long drive it's still best to just wait it out until the rain stops. Most cabinets are 250-300 lbs.

got it lol

I got the shrink wrap. Its a covered truck. but will have to lay it on its back and PRAY nothing goes wrong, I just spent money I shouldnt have looololol

when i first saw i had too login into my account i that it was hacked or something.

Moving games in the rain is kinda normail for here in washington or you have too be ready for it. I would say lightly lay her on her back .lay a towel or something down and then the cab. Make sure too cover the game up with something it might get cold lol!

you should be fine those candy cabs looks small?

GL Take some pics!

I transport all my games laying down. My game hauler is a Suburban, I have no other choice. They always stay dry, and I can even leave them in there if I don't feel like unloading when I get home.

And yes they are heavy. I _can_ load most of them solo now, but only after lots of practice. 5'9" 160lbs. Much better to have help.

I always transport the games laying down in the back of my truck. You don't have to lift it. I just stand the game with the back of the machine facing the tailgate. Tilt the game back until the game is resting on the tailgate. Then left the bottom up and slide it in. I have a liner in my truck, so they slide right in. Also, I will typically lay a moving blanket down to make it go even smoother.

Anyway. Just watch out so it doest slide away from the truck if you tilted it too much. Then just strap it into place against the tailgate once you close it.

BTW - My truck is a 4x4 Dodge Ram 1500 and have no problems even with the extra height.

watch out so it doest slide away from the truck if you tilted it too much.

I carry a section of 2x4 when I pick up games so that when I am leaning the dolly back to get the game into my Dodge Caravan I wedge the 2x4 in front of the dolly so that it and the game don't crash to the ground. This usually keeps it stable enough so I can get to the bottom to lift and slide both into the van.

Unless your small or weak, there should be no problem putting a 300-lb cab into a truck on it's back by itself. It's called leverage. Just tilt it back until it resting on the truck at about the halfway spot. Then lift the bottom up and slide it in.

if you're picking it up, have the seller help get it in. And make sure it won't slide and break a window or something if some idiot pulls out in front of you suddenly...

I often lay games on their back or side to transport them. I usually lay down some cardboard on the bed of the truck then a moving blanket on top of that. Usually no problem sliding a 300lb game into or out of a truck myself. I'm a relatively small guy. Oh and even layed down like this I still strap the game to be sure it won't slide around.

I transport games in a mini van...all laying on their backs, you'll be fine.

I transport all my games in a minivan as well. Some games have to be laid on their sides, because the top juts out too much (Asteroids comes to mind, Operation Wolf was another). Bring blankets to put down, tip and slide. I'm a little guy, but I have no problem moving most cabinets by myself.

There is no harm to the game to tip it on it's back - just be sure everything is secured inside. I've seen some games where the monitor wasn't bolted in, or the power brick was loose in the bottom. Secure or remove any loose parts.

When going to pick up games, always bring basic tools - screwdrivers, adjustable wrench, pliers, etc. Ensure coin doors are closed - you can wedge a scrap of cardboard in them to hold them shut. Ensure back door is secure - again, wedge cardboard in it, put screws back in, whatever. Bring along a couple of drywall screws and some zip ties, just in case.

Once you get good at it, it'll be second nature.
