I just bought Sega Astro City. My last candy cabinet, Neo 29 was hot (120v) on cabinet when I got it. I've since correct and grounded the Neo29. Since the Neo 29 is all steel, everything was grounded.
The Astro City its mostly fiberglass. I added 3 prong plug and wired all green ground wires to ground lug.
Then I used multimeter to check voltage on the cabinet itself. Florescent lamp read 33v AC on the metal housing. So I replaced with 24" us style version and grounded it. Now reads 0v AC.
Power supply read 26v AC, so I added ground wire. No ill effects, and now it reads 0v AC.
The monitor MS9-29S reads 55v AC on the metal frame holding monitor to cabinet. Should I ground this as well?
Thanks
