ok quick stupid one, how do you adjust volume on tempest

thanks in advance

It's mounted to the vertical board between the coin door and ARII on the coin door side though.

I have never seen an Atari with a knob on the pot... Did they even come with knobs? I need to order some because it is a PITA adjusting the old sticky pots without one.

I have seen the pot in different locations. One just inside the coin door and another one the panel behind the coin box.

ok as I look inside the coin door it looks like the volume pot may have been removed.

who cares now, I just sold it. guy picked it up.

thanks guys

connected to the main pcb?

I mean I don't see shit in there. maybe I need to pull up the cp

It should be mounted on a little metal plate inside the coin door. Right next to the test switch, etc. See the attached pic from the manual.

I see you don't really need it now, but since I took the pic, thought it might help someone else. Mine is located in a slightly different place than VJ's diagram but should still give you an idea of what to look for.

My Gravitar had a knob on the pot. Only one I've ever seen with one. Dylan, I'm confused by you saying the pot was removed. In my experience, the game will lose sound without the pot... Still haven't checked that deflection board, by the way...

Maybe that is why he is trying to turn it up?

Is it hanging off of the harness?

honestly I don't give a shit now, lol
game is gone.

it was a very nice tempest too. I just don't like that game much.

Yeah malcolm, no sweat on that board.

mine was located in the same place as yrs. just weird that they didn't really bother to put much of a knob on the pot.
