The only thing its not doing is taking my dollar, it sucks it in and kicks it back out. Do the hoppers have to have quarters in them for it to take your dollar. I'm hoping thats why it kicks it back to me.I have done allot of reading on these things lately and there quite cool how they function. The site I was reading said to watch for an error code when it kicks it back so if I add quarters and it doesnt take my dollar thats next on the list. Then I plan to color match tha paint and touch it up and up to the gameroom it goes. Oh how do I tell if it is setup for quarters or tokens or will either work...Thankyou...Dave

I know there are switch sensors on my bc8? I think that make sure there are quarters in the tubes. I just dont recall if it auto rejected the bill because of it. Maybe.

When I first got my BC8 it wouldnt take bills at all. I found a lightbulb out on the dollar mech. once replaced it starting working great.

A bill cannot be accepted if there are no coins in the payout hoppers.

Many changers also have coin level sensors in the payout hoppers that shut the machine down if the hoppers are too low in coins/tokens.

Generally you need at least $20 to $50 worth of quarters in the hoppers to operate.

I don't have any experience with the BC-11 so this may not apply but the other Rowe changes I have worked on have trim pots on the CPU to adjust the motor speed and mag gain.

Usually it's a matter of adjusting one or both of those settings to hone in the bill acceptance rate.

I thought I had a manual for this one but I only have them for BC-25 and up. I'm not sure if the BC-11 uses the same CPU as the BC-25 though.

Thankyou Ken I'll have to collect some more quarters and try it befor I make any adjustments. I think I read the BC-25 does use the same cpu. If my BC-11 is set up to kick out tokens will it work if I put quarters in it or do I need to use tokens. The Changer had a sticker on the front that said "this machine dispenses tokens"but both hoppers say quarters on them so thats why I was wondering if it matters what I use. I want to run all of my arcades off quarters so I would like it to dispense quarters.Thankyou for all the info guys....Dave

If the hoppers say quarters then it should handle quarters and coins that are close in size to a quarter but not larger, so .984 tokens wouldn't work. You can mod the hoppers to work with .984's though. You should be good to go with quarters from what you describe.
