Had the opportunity to take a day off of work and drive up to Pinball Show in Ohio...Mr Trudeau..designer of Gottlieb Rocky and many other pins had shot me an email to let me know he was going to be there...I brought one of my NOS backglasses for him to sign...wonderful guy..we chatted about the history and he told me some cool stories..here's quick picture I had taken after he signed my glass...we talked off and on for over an hour...there was also another cool vid there too...

Yeah..there weren't a lot of pins there but I'm told Saturday is the big day for that event.....I'm doing PAPA pinball event Saturday night so should be fun weekend..

Went out there from about 10 until 3. It was a lot of fun.
There were quite a few less machines than I thought there would be. That Varkon was sweet, I played it a bit. Monster Bash was another that was fun, and I hadn't played before. Played Circus Voltaire for the first time also, great game too. I love stuff like this to check out pins I haven't played.

The row in the back with the few games not on freeplay and you had to get the guy to come over were dumb, like Gorgar. Just put your machines on freeplay like everyone else.

John was a great guy, i had a few more things for him to sign. So he gave me is card, and told me to send him whatever i had, i just paid return shipping. Class Guy.

It was fun to hear all the old pin stories that he told. He said he had a game that he never produced, but it was the next in line before they got the ax at balley/ williams call Air Aces.

I saw you getting that Rocky signed. You had it wrapped in a brown paper

Nice looking Varkon.. There is a person near me that owns one of those and it's in perfect shape. Odd machine if no one has ever seen it before. A mini pinball in an arcade style cab that is played off a reflective mirror. Two joysticks act as the flipper controls. Only 90 Units ever made. I played it a couple weeks ago during a St Patricks day pinball party. They held a tournament on the Varkon and yours truly took home first place. Was a St Patricks Day flower bouquet. A little something to take home for the wife. I think I was able to win due to my arcade skills being stronger then all of the pinball players there and this game definetly has a hybrid feel to it. Very cool machine indeed.
