OG Pepsi lovers

Nothing wrong with the Mexican Coke at all and the Throwback Pepsi seems to have been available all summer for us here in AZ at least up where I live. If you're ever stuck for real sugar soda you can always go to a place like this...

http://www.popsoda.com/

They have tons of types rotating though that have real sugar in them and it is the only place I can get Green River in the state.

I have a beat up old Vendo 63 I keep out on the patio that I have various types of bottles in. Glass is by far best as it is completely non-reactive with the soda. If you don't believe me do a blind taste test with coke in a can, 2 ltr, and a glass bottle. You can tell the difference easily and I can even tell you what container each was in.

As far as the Coke / Pepsi Challenge I preffer RC :)

Why Cleveland Rocks......

I am a huge fan of the throwback Pepsi, Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper. I also like Coke, and do not care one way or the other as far as the Pepsi/Coke wars go. I buy the throwback whenever it is "in season" as the real sugar tastes so much better.

I am fortunate enough to live in the suburbs of Cleveland. Before you start knocking it, let me tell you why I say fortunate. Coke has been doing the "throwback" thing for years. Every year at Passover/Easter, they make Kosher Coke because the Jewish people can not do the Corn Syrup during this time. Coke does not advertise it, they just put a yellow cap on it instead of the traditional red, and some Hebrew writing indicating it is Kosher. The only thing they do is substitute the HFCS with Sugar, and there ya go. It tastes so much better.

You can always get the Mexican Coke all over the country, but it a lot more expensive. Living in Cleveland, we can get the same stuff for regular price (12 packs 4 for $10 on sale). Cleveland, and Lehigh Valley PA (Bethleham) are the ONLY US Coke distributors to use Sucrose (real sugar) year round.

Yes they make Kosher Coke in upstate NY too, but it is always in 2 liters, and I want cans. I picked up some Kosher Pepsi last Easter, the Coke is gone within hours at literally every store.

I'm a little outside of Philly and I have yet to see the Dr. Pepper with sugar. I'm seeing some of the 'retro' packaging, but not the sugar.

Costco in Montgomeryville did have Mexican coke a few weeks back. I'm hoping they'll get more in.

Time to hunt for Pepsi!

Dude... You are in Philly!! Take the short drive up to Bethlehem!! Cleveland and Bethlehem are so lucky to be able to get AMERICAN Coke with REAL SUGAR year round without paying a premium and wondering what was in the water supply!!!!

Bethlehem and Cleveland have it in cans year round. (look at my JPG in above post). Make a trek to Bethlehem and stock up!! :) Hell, check Craigs List for a game!! That would give you even MORE of a reason to go!! HEre is a good deal on an Asteroids Deluxe in that area. http://allentown.craigslist.org/for/1874868385.html WOW. Here is a Golden Tee in that area for $200 if it is not gone yet.... http://allentown.craigslist.org/for/1857439434.html

Just got a 2 liter today...drank half of it in the first sitting!

Whaaattt? Didn't they teach you in dental school that soda rots your teeth? I mean, everyone knows that if you put a tooth in a cup of Coke (or in this case, Pepsi) overnight it will disolve...:)

It never left the stores around where I live. I've seen it sitting in most Walmart and mom-and-pop shops since they rolled out the original style bottles last year and now the retro-70's looking bottles.

It's Mountain Dew as well.

That is defiantly a keeper!

I drink coke, but mt dew has been a favorite for me. Tried the throwback md once, and it was fine. My problem is, it seems pepsi is getting rid of mtn dew code red. They stopped stocking it at the vons and stater brothers near me, and I can't find a fast food restaurant aside from yoshinoya that even has regular mtn dew instead of sierra mist (which is nasty). I don't go to kfc because they make you get a drink with any box meal, but all their sodas suck.

Maybe it's a long beach thing...
