Hi guys i have an offroad challenge , i have tried subbing in several monitors but get what looks like 3 horizontal pics , i know its a medium res and i have tried changing the sync any other ideas?

uh, you need a medium res monitor then.

changing syncs doesn't have anything to do with the lines of resolution the game outputs. you're trying to run a standard res monitor on a medium res game, that's why you have triple vision.

the replacemnent monitor is supposed to be a med res , from a sega , i guess i should get the specs and make sure , the vendor i purchased it from is a well known vid guy in our area and knew i needed a med res.

sega 200-5187-15 is what it is , is this a medium res?
ms8-26sg i am guessing not , i think the s stands for standrad res.

throw a standard res game at it. then you'll know. :p

some of those Sega monitors were dual resolution. I'd research it for you but I'm at work.

monitor

i read up on it , its a duel res , i changed the connector and now have a pic , but now i have to figure out how to degaus it , its a sega monitor with the two red wires but obviously they lead to nowhere in my offroad.

they would ordinarily go to an AC pushbutton. I think you might even be able to just hotwire it momentarily, but wait up and see if someone else has a better idea. it's just powered by AC, the degauss coil, if you got a button or switch that can handle 120 VAC, then rig that up. press it once, should take care of it.

glad you figured out the resolution part though!
