Then Ram Controls could sue.

A better idea would be a Bob Roberts billboard!

I'm liking this idea.

Actually, that's not the billboard set I remember either o_O I swear there was a version with all Namco centric billboards, including a different Dig Dug (pooka) billboard, Pac Man, a Tower of Druaga billboard, and one with the orange ghost from Pac Man with a straw hat and a pitchfork screaming "BUT CLYDE!"

...am I going crazy or did this exist in one Namco romset!?

I think that was on one of those PSX Namco Classics collections? I definitely know what you're referring to! Also didn't realize that was Pac-Man with a straw hat - makes a lot more sense now haha :)

EDIT: I think maybe the "But Clyde" might be in Namco PPII: http://www22.atpages.jp/nbgifan/wall-pp3.png

Looking at the sign now..maybe it's the red ghost with a straw hat?

Ah, that's it! I used to play that version all the time on the N64 before I got the actual cab. I always assumed that was just "the Namco version" since I had never seen footage from an actual original Japanese cab... guess not, haha. Also I think it was the orange ghost in the straw hat since it says "Clyde" but I really don't know. xD

This is the version in question:

I was hoping to have that version in my cab one day since it's the version I'm most familiar with. Guess not since it looks like it was just a port-change to save themselves from lawsuits. Ah well.

You might be able to change the billboards easily enough with TURACO. I seem to recall they used a color scheme where they were able to have two billboards stored in the same graphic area by palette swapping - hard to explain but if open the files up in Turaco you'll see what I mean :001_sdrool:

If you guys are serious I can prob start on that too. I had planned on writing a program to view/edit the PP graphical/sprite data anyways because I want to make sure I understand it all for the Multi PP menu system I want to make for it.

Yeah I was planning on starting there. There is currently no PP driver written for Turaco. If someone wanted to start working on that (hint hint) that would be a huuuuuge help ;)

.........

+100%

Don't forget KLOV and CAX billboards....

...or even the famous phone booth chair!!!

Great project here. I don't own a PP (I or II), but damn now I may need to look for one :)

I know for a lot of us space is an issue and the more multi boards available the better, especially if they are close or identical hardware and plug & play.

Would this not be a good idea to consider a daughter card plug to allow for future add-ons?

I know the others would be emulated, but I'm thinking there are probably a few other titles that could work in these cabs too, right?

Just a thought.....

LOL yeah right and KLOV could then countersue :D

but hells yeah Bob Roberts for sure

That's a great idea! I'm definately in for one of these, even if it's just a basic PPI/PPII multi board. It would be cool to play some other drivers in my PP cockpit, though...;)

The custom billboards would be great, too. You could really screw everyone up and throw in a Nintendo logo.

Just saw this and I am hyped as hell! When funds are back to normal, I am so getting in on this and a topper for my stand up PP1. Luckily, my PP1 board is fine, but getting a reliable replacement AND PP1 + PP2 in one machine is so cool. :) Bizump!
