Official: Asteroids & Lunar Lander Repro CP Interest thread

I am sorry to announce that I will not be running Lunar lander silk screened panels. Darin at Phoenix Arcade has invested a great deal of money in overlays and I feel that making the panel would not be fair to him. He does alot for this community and we need to support him. He makes things others wont, dont or cant.

I will however make a Lunar Lander panel to go with his overlay. Perhaps a combo deal like the Major Havoc project I am working on now.

I will be doing a silk screend Asteroids panel (or Rich from TOG will do it) or even a screened Multi panel if the interest is there.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

I agree with Takeman.. we rushed into this thread a bit. My bad.
Darin's one of us and we should support him.. Its a small community.
No need to step on anyone's toes. I'll update the first post.

So I have to ask.. for those of you who wanted LL panels. Does
not having it silkscreened on the metal directly
change your decision to pick one up? I want to make sure the tally
is correct.

Thanks,
Malice95

Everyone still interested in a LL panel, it will be just a powder coated panel ready for an overlay. If still interested, post up. Malice95 will adjust the poll accordingly.

I still want a Asteroids mulitgame panel for the full size LL thruster, silk screened would be nice but I don't have a problem if it's an overlay or not. If you can not duplicate the original control panel texture , and I haven't seen anyone that has so far, then I think a overlay looks just as good.
I commend you both to take into consideration to not duplicate something that someone else already has available for sale. I hope other's will give you the same respect with your projects. It's nice to see corporation for a change. Their are many of us that appreciates what all you guy's do for the rest of us.

What is the material thickness of these please

IE: Same as original or thinner?

Thank you :)

The metal panel? Its identical to original in every way. It will likely be done in a fine texture like the Missile Command Panels I am doing now.

If this is the case then I don't want any panels.

While I agree that Darin does great work and I have made many purchases supporting him I just don't like the overlays on games that originally did not have them so I'll be keeping mine the way they are.

That being said if these were made, in my instance it would not impact his sale of one to me since I wouldn't be buying to begin with.

Oh well...

I'm in for a LL control panel even if it is not silk screened. I would also consider a multi control panel.

Thanks,

Asteroids will still be screened.........

I would take an ll panel.

I bought an overlay for the day i get an ll cab assuming the silkscreening would never be done. Having said that i would vastly prefer a silkscreened version. I think the cost of 120$vs 65$ woud keep these both as viable options for ifferent crowds, especially if the silkscreened version was a limited run. Plus if someone was putting on the silkscreened panel, they would probbly still pay the 65$ to get the mission plexi... I know i would.
