OK, people. This is what you've been waiting for.

I have a limited supply of authentic K6510 keys that, out of the goodness of my heart, I am willing to pass on to other Nintendo collectors in need.

Plus, it's for a good cause!

This is the real deal, not a copy. I ordered a quantity of original Takigen locks for my Nintendo row, but only need two keys for myself. Eight pair are now up for grabs.

For the unfamiliar, these are keys for the original factory Ace-style locks Nintendo installed on ALL of their cabinets.

The keys have been tested on vintage Takigen K6510 locks and work flawlessly. They are shiny and have cool Japanese graphics. Radioactivity is negligible.

So please PM me if you need a key. Price per pair is $30 shipped. I may be willing to split the pairs if there is enough demand, price for a single key would be $20 shipped. That might sound expensive, but that barely covers what I paid to get them here (not to mention, copies of this key go for $10 plus shipping).

The best part is, all proceeds from the sale of these keys will be donated to Red Cross disaster relief for Japan.

Look forward to hearing from you...

Thanks in advance to phetishboy, PlayChoice1986, and isucamper for their generous donations to the Red Cross disaster relief for Japan.

Three pair of keys have been claimed for their restorations.

Five are still available...

Should work on a DK cocktail too. Just checked mine, and the one that came with it was a K6510 (I got my own duplicate at a local locksmith)

Not to thread jack or anything but are the locks those keys go to worth anything? I just pulled one off of my newest cab, as It was missing its pair, and I like having everything the same.

Yes, these keys will work on ANY Nintendo cabinet that has the original factory locks.

If you're not sure your lock is original, just remove the cam and nut (if you can access it) and look at the cylinder. In the attached pic, you can see the "K6510" code stamped into the metal... bottom lock is vintage, top is new stock.

If the lock is in good condition, sure it has value... as does any original part.

But you need to be able to open it!!!

;)

I know I have several of these Takigen locks and only 2 keys, but my 2 keys don't open all of my locks, only some of them. They fit in all of them, but only turn about half of them. I really hope that the keys you are sending me open the other half. If not, I may have a pair of keys up for sale shortly after receiving them. As to donating to the Red Cross for Japan, you people should be doing that anyway. This way you get a set of keys for your trouble.

Do the locks all have the same code?

If so, all I can think is that the lock mechanism might have been damaged by someone trying to pick it?

These keys work on the vintage Nintendo locks I have...

No idea. I hope not. If they do, and my current keys don't work, neither will yours. *sadface*

The first set of keys has left the building...

C'mon people! This hobby owes a lot to Japan, let's show a little love.

Shiny Nintendo keys!!!

I've decided to split a pair of keys, so if anyone else is interested in a single key for a $20 donation please PM me...

Thanks!

Yes, that's why so many spares - stated he ordered a bunch of locks and only needed a couple keys. My local distributor sells the locks with 2 keys each

+1. I have a local Takigen distributor over here too. They got the keys for me for my red tent. Funny thing, now I have so many of these keys from buying cabs the past few years. I have too many keys! I keep one one my key ring. :)
