Hello Monitor Gurus,
I have an interesting issue that I am trying to figure out. I have a Matsushita TM-202G that was originally in a Pole Position project I picked up several years ago. I had a spare G07 at the time and focused on getting the game up and running with the G07 and never bothered with the Matsushita because I didn't have to at the time (plus if it was the flyback, I was probably SOL anyway). So the Matsushita just sat collected even more dust than it already had.
Recently I circled back around to it because I needed a monitor that supports positive sync for another game, so pulled the G07 and repaired the TM-202G to put in my PP2. Long story short, I repaired the neck board (it was snapped in half), and later also did a cap kit on except it for the B+ filter cap (I have a new B+ cap from Arcade shop and repairs, but the legs don't line up with the holes in the chassis, not entirely sure the best way to install it).
After the neck board repair, but before the cap kit, I tested the monitor with a monitor tester and everything looked fine. When the monitor is connected to either my PP or PP2, however, the very top of the picture is bent to the left. This issue follows the picture size and is not isolated to the top of the actual monitor screen. I had planned to do the cap kit anyway and figured I would go ahead and do that, but after the new caps, I am still seeing the issue only if the monitor is connected to one of the pole positions. Again with a test signal it looks fine.
Since the picture looked fine with the tester even before the cap kit, I would think the remaining original B+ cap would not be the root cause (but what do I know?

)
Any ideas?
I attached a few pics of the issue as well as the monitor with the tester connected.
Thanks in advance!
