Hey all - I've got a question regarding a G07-CBO I'm working on.
First off here's what I've done to the chassis so far. It initially had a large curl on the top half of the screen that couldn't be adjusted out.
- recapped including filter cap at c901 with 680uf 200v
- check/fixed R303, R306, R314, R317 with 390 ohms 1/4 watt
- fixed FR901 220 ohm 1/2 watt
- G07 sych mod applied
- horizontal width c515 swapped to 334k v200 from 534k v200
So the monitor fires up and now displays beautiful without curl but the horizontal width is short, about 3 inches of black on both sides of the screen. The horizontal width coil only adjusts out the width maybe a 1/2 inch. No matter what value I swap c515 to, it stays the same width. Then after about 5 minutes of the monitor on, c523 (1uf 250v) blows and the width is perfect!? I've replaced c523 twice with different brands so I don't think its a bad cap.
My worry is that there may be added stress on other components with c523 blown? I left it running for 5 hours with no problem in this state.
