I got a "2 button style" big choice where as soon as you coin up the machine, it only lets you move right.
What I did notice is that as soon as you coin up, it actually moves the carriage forward like 1/2 inch, then allows you to hit the "right" button. My initial deduction would be bad switch, but I tested and replaced the button switch anyways with a tested new. I also tried moving the connection on the button just to see what what would happen. If I remove the wire from the button, coin up will make the carriage immediately start moving back.
I pulled the board and tested diodes, from what I tested, everything is good on that as well. I reflowed all the solid state relays including the big ice cube with no change. I also reflowed the small headers on all the connections. I am starting to get to the point where I am convinced it is an issue with one of the 4 ice cube relays in a row since it seems that 2 control the front to back movement and 2 control the left to right.
Has anyone else seen this? Any ways to address fixing this or diagnosing it better?
