Sorry for the o/t post, but I have to ship a box, approx. 48'' Hi x 24" X 24" 130lbs. to the state of Hawaii. Does anyone have any ideas on how to ship this out? It contains 2 bucket seats (Ford King Ranch Truck) and a console. The guy in HI really wants these and said he'll pay all shipping "as long as its not crazy" Thanks for any help you can provide!

I'm not sure you can go USPS or UPS. IIRC, their combined length + girth = 130in. 24+24+24+24 = 96, leaving you only 34 inches for height. That said, It'll be crazy expensive via UPS because it's air only.

Try FedEx. When I lived on Oahu I had a lot of stuff shipped in and out of there, and you didn't have to pay for air mail. It helped that I had a friend living near my parents who worked for them too.

I just ran the dimensions and weight though FedEx's online calculator and it said $800 bucks. You can try finding an airline employee to send it FedEx for you (they get a 80% discount or something like that).

Or try these guys:

You probably have to ship it as freight. contact an airline cargo company. I shipped a cocktail deluxe invaders through delta air many years ago. I think it was less than $200, but that went domestic and it was smaller than your dimensions.

you can also contact someone who ships cars. We shipped my brothers car to hawaii a while ago. Drove it to oakland they drained the oil and gas and shipped it in a container to maui.

maybe give freightquote.com a call,
maybe try navl

I've shipped a car to Hawaii as well, for my brother-in-law. We used Matson if I remember correctly. I don't know how well that would word from the east coast though.

that was it too. I was not sure on the name, but that was it.. They are a huge shipping company. It would probably be just addition transport cost, but they are probably doing it for others anyway..

i just got a quote from ups of $486 to ship a Lord of the rings pinball to France so im sure it would be a bit cheaper to Hawaii.

Find out what is the cheapest rates. To ship to either FedEx, UPS, Etc.

Try American Fast Freight @ http://www.americanfast.com/
Living in Alaska I have to check on shipping ALL THE TIME! They are reasonable and they specialize in Alaska, Hawaii & Guam. I had a cabinet shipped up here from Utah a fews years ago and was very happy w/ the service, price & shipping time.
