I see this in other regions here, but Im just curious to see if there are any KLOVers in the NYC area (or relatively close within 50 or so miles) that band together for auctions, pickups, parts, game repair help, lookout for others' wishlists, etc? Just wanted to know if there's a regional group already that sticks their neck out to help others thats all.

I'm in Rockland county. 30 minutes from the city.

Used to live in Great Kills SI.

I'm about 15 miles from NYC in northern NJ (78W to PKWY S for about 5 miles). There doesn't seem to be much arcade-related anything going on around here.

I barcade still rolling?

I miss the old arcades on time square...

Fuckin Giuliani.

Giuliani?

Those arcades went the way of the dinosaur long before Giuliani became mayor.

Now if you're talking about the disappearance of all the porn shops, peep shows, and live sex theaters, then I can see why you're mad at him...

Barcade is still in Brooklyn as far as I know. At least Giuliani got rid of the prostitutes, window washers and homeless people on 42nd. The city is much nicer than when he first got there.

I know... I was just having fun...

I did get to go to times square once when it was the Real Times Square (school Field trip). Never got off the buss, but at least I can say I saw it.

yeah - I know what you mean. I remember going in as a kid and my father having to put the wipers on just to get down the street. My mother would practically carry me the entire time even though I was probably a little too big to be carried at that point.

I'm within a mile or two of you, exits 135-137. If you ever want to meet up, let me know.

I am one hour from the city and we do open arcade night every Friday at my arcadestore
