WTB Chicago Coin Speed Shift Sound Unit

First attempt at a electromechanical arcade restoration I bought a 1974 sit down speed shift game. After downloading the schametic found previous restoration attempts were done A: Without a schematic or B: Someone who has very limited schematic reading skills. Right away I noticed the sound unit was missing and had a large incorrectly sized transformer installed, "not sure why the orginal tested out fine."Besides the missing sound unit all other parts are in place and in good shape except one cracked disk stepper board. I glued it together and bought a circuit writing pen from Radio Shack to trace the broken circuit path now it seems smooth but I'm not sure if that will work or not. I'm still doing a lot of rewiring from the previous knucklehead so haven't tested. I'm new to this any advise will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
1. Wtb sound unit Chicago Coin Speed Shift Sound Unit
2. Advise if I can't find sound unit?
3. Will repairing a cracked stepper unit with circuit writing pen work?
4. Value of this game totally restored to new factory conditions minus orginal plastic car that I replaced with a similar looking one?

Congratulations on your first EM arcade. Are you missing all 3 sound cards including the frame? The will be difficult to find. It is possible make replacements sound/amplifier cards yourself. It is not too hard just takes a fair bit of time to locate parts and build them. I don't think the circuit pen repair will last too long. If the track is broken where the wiper arms move across the top then you will need to bridge the crack with solder/wire. If the game was in new condition it might be worth $1000-$1200 but in average condition about $400-$500. Hope this helps.

I'd try Mr. Pinball - post a want add - you may recieve a response. I've used this a few times for parts that I needed for several of my restorations. I'll shoot you a PM with another gentlemen's name who I know has a lot of hard to find parts.

Good luck!

$1200 thats it? geez I'm glad I went into hvac instead of vintage game restoration for a living, I can make that much profit in one call vs 1 month. Honestly doing it to be better at troubleshooting and the love of old video games I knew it would be a labor of love. Yeah all the sound cards are gone yes that has crossed my mind to make my own since each sound is controlled by a labeled relay switch, but how that's done im not sure never made a sound unit or modern sound card.
