Hi;
I finished the cap job on my Neotec NT500DX and the HV is 30kV. I cannot find the manual for this specific Neotec monitor but some of the other Neotec manuals state that it should NOT be 30kV. I tried adjusting the B+, (as I have no other information on this chassis) and when doing so, the voltage goes from 30.62kV to 30.92kV so I am not making the proper adjustments.
The other manual also states that the B+ should be 125v but is does not specifically state what the HV should be nor does it say how to adjust this.

Has anyone worked on this monitor before and could please lend me some info.... Specifically on how to adjust the HV...

Thanks
Jeff

I have a schematic for this but it does not specify the B+ voltage.

Hi;
I have the schems as well but I need the manual...... Or at least, how to adjust the HV down to an acceptable level.

I built this game for my Sons birthday party this Saturday and would like to be able to use it, safely....

Thanks for the response.

I would recommend giving Neotec a call. I call them from time to
time and they are usually pretty helpful.

The schematics arn't the easiest to follow.......but, there's a 140 volt line off the power supply transformer. None of the other taps are close to a B+ operating voltage. I'm betting this is what ends up feeding the B+. Something tells me 130 volts isn't too far off. A lot of 25/27 inch monitors have a B+ of approximately 130 volts.

With no signal..

What the voltage at the cathode of
D502..d508..d510??
And test point 1
Did someone adjust vr501??
In the powersupply.

For Hv.. adjustment
The service menu may have
A adjustment but I would check
The overall voltages..first
And each resolution..
odds are when your in no signal
Your default would be low resolution
Haven't seen a service manual yet
Only a schematic..

Hi;
I checked the set-up menu, no good, that would have been too easy!
The monitor is already installed in the game, in fact, it always was, I just pulled the chassis for the rebuild so it is not going to be too easy to find the diodes but I will search for them and I will look for TP1 with my handy mirror........
VR501, what does that adjust?
I will look for that as well while I am searching for TP1, BTW, what would a reading from TP1 indicate?
Thank you very much for your help.

JD;
Would you happen to have a number and contact person that I should speak to?
I'll try anything at this point.
Thanks

Just ask for someone in service.

I have not heard anything back from Neotec, assuming that they still exist.....

Without pulling the monitor out of the game, it is not likely that I will be able to get any readings, it's impossible to get my big head in the back of the game....

I am going to start a new thread and plead for help..... My sons party is tomorrow.
