I picked up a very nice Vencoa NSV 120 Bill Changer at the auction. It is super clean and complete but not working. It had a blown fuse on the line in which I replaced but it remains dead. There are only three parts to this machine: A very simple power supply, a very simple coin dispenser, and a needlessly complex bill acceptor. To further my troubleshooting I need a manual or schematic so I can verify voltages. Anyone have a manual or any experience with one of these?

Vencoa told me that NSV went out of business. I think Vencoa was a middleman and not the actual manufacturer. The machine was bought at the last auction and looks just like every other bill changer out there so there was no way for the untrained eye to tell that there would be no documentation available for this unit.

That being said, I am sure someone on this board has a manual for this thing so I can try and get it running. Even with just the pinouts I should be able to retrofit in another manufacturers parts into the case and end up with a working machine....

Called Vencoa in person. I was told that NSV has been out of business for about 15 years. I asked about the products on the web page that seem similar and was told that the webpage has been cached somewhere and Vencoa cannot figure out how to get it removed. I am back to simply hoping there is an Op with a manual floating around....

OK... I have learned something new today although I actually suspected it yesterday. The model of coin changer means NOTHING. The bill acceptor head is the important part and that is what I will need to research and troubleshoot.

It is a Tekbilt NV110-GA1. Turns out it is/was pretty common. I should be able to find some good troubleshooting info on it now! Or replace it with a Mars unit...

Thanks Ken! I worked on it for a bit last night and I am no longer getting voltage through the power supply. Looks like I need to get that working again before I can do any more testing on the validation....
