UPDATE: This week - 1/7/2012, All outstanding orders are finished. I won't be taking anymore orders until my health improves.
I had no idea I was going to become so sick.

Please Read this post I made to make sure your parts are worthy of powder coat. I want all my customers happy.

Hi,
I just wanted to let everyone know about 1 month ago, I bought all the equipment from a Powder Coat company that was local to me.
So if anyone needs parts done, I think I'm getting pretty good at it now.
All the powders I have are from this company www.columbiacoatings.com so there are lots of choices. I can do all the sandblasting you need also.
Thanks,
Here's some samples I did.

cool! so how much would you typically charge for a coin door
or a coindoor + sandblasting?

How about hinges.. any experience doing them so far?

Yeah, I've been practicing on everything honestly.
I don't know if there is a better way, but I have been taking the pins out of the hinges on Over/Under Doors and seems to work well.
I was going to ask $30 a door for the Over/Under styles on small orders, if I was doing the sandblasting and powder.
Please let me know if this seems out of line.
Thanks,

Cool... send me a PM with your address. I'll send some work your way.

I have 3 coin doors that need to be sandblasted and powdercoated.

Looks like I'll need to get a list of parts together. I've been trying to find someone to sandblast and powdercoat for a good price. I got at least 3 coin doors, possible a couple control panels, maybe some other random pieces. Wonder how much I can get into a flat rate box....hmmm...

I have a Fed Ex account.
I get good rates if you want to send me the address and dimensions to check.

Awesome, yeah, I'll start pulling a list of everything and maybe try putting it a box to see what it comes out to. I'll shoot you a PM on it once I have everything together.

I know one coin door I wanted to do was my Galaxian, which is the gray instead of black. Do you have a list of color/textures available that you're able to powder coat? Also, how large of items are you able to do? I have a set of Pump it Up bars that I need done in a red, but they're an odd shape and large (at least compared to a control panel or coin door).

I'm going to post in a few minutes the color chips I have the most powder of. I have hundreds of colors but not a ton of everything that company makes, but I think we will be fine with any arcade type color. If you want to give me measurements I will work up a quote.
I can bake a huge piece, but I haven't tried anything longer than a control panel that was 27" long.

Cool Man.

------

hey, as I recall:

A NEO-GEO 6-Slot CP is about 30" long,
A NEO-GEO 4-Slot CP is about 24" long,
A NEO-GE0 GOLD CP is about 24" long, and
A DYNAMO (SF?) CP is about 26" long.

Hope this helps,

:D

Sounds like you may have just opened a new business. I've got an item or two that could use the love also.
