Hey all,
I need some advice. I am trying to rebuild a Donkey Kong with a 60 in 1 iCade JAMMA board.
I have a 2001 Pentranic monitor and an original DK speaker. That's it.
So what type of Power Supply should I get??? There are so many and I want to make sure I get something that will be fine for the JAMMA board and with my monitor + speaker.
I don't believe I need an ISO since the monitor is newer. Do I?

Thanks in advance! I wanna get this thing built soon and post pics.

this would be something that would work for you.

The newer monitors typically tell you if they do not need an isolation transformer. I always made it a habit of using one anyway, even when I used a vision pro or something that "didn't need one"

For $17, it's pretty good peace of mind for your expensive monitor.

I buy all my stuff from www.therealbobroberts.net but I have used twistedquarter.com and they are very good (and take paypal) bob does not.

You might check out Arcadeshop as well. Many people sell JAMMA harnesses for $10-15. There's is more expensive at $55, but it has all crimped on connectors and molex connectors to connect to the power supply. $40 extra sounds like a lot, but to have everything crimped and labeled...you'll save yourself 5 hours easy if you don't know what you're doing.

Agreed, and you are right, I DON'T know what I am doing. I have an end idea of what I want, it's just knowing how to get there.
I also talked with Arcade Shop Amusements and the lady told me to get the Multicade Upright JAMMA wiring Harness for 19" monitor and control panel. It is $55. Plus I would have to get their Power SUpply and I think that was like $30 or so.

Anyone ever bought that one? I just want something that allows me to simply plug and play.

Just burn the cabinet and save the humiliation of ruining a perfectly good Nintendo Classic Cab.;)

actually the cab was going to get burned at a bonfire. I saved it to restore it. From the outside you won't be able to tell it is a 60 in 1. It will look just like a DK. Just wait until the finished product.
