Twin Galaxies is planing an event in Ottumwa for November 11-13.

One part of the festival is a going to be a presentation from various groups to the International Video Game Hall Of Fame.

The following games are being donated.

Super cobra
Frenzy
Tutankham
Make Trax
Suzuka 8
Tekken tag team
Off The Wall

KLOV is a big part of the video game world and we are creating a new chapter and history everyday. It would be a nice gesture if KLOV donated a game in our name to the IVGHOF. Does anyone out there have a game they would be willing to donate? Working or not. Perhaps something that could be repaired in time to donate. A partial machine? Or would anyone be willing to throw some money in to a fund to purchase a game to give in the name of KLOV?

Thoughts? Feelings? Suggestions?

Yeah, I don't have the best feelings towards some of the stuff at Twin Galaxies. Don't get me wrong, Walter Day is an awesome human being. I am just saying that if you own a slightly rare or hard to find pcb, good luck getting your record score added to Twin Galaxies. I tried for almost 2 years to get my Steep Slope Sliders record put up there, but nothing. I can't even get them to add the game to the database.

I have mixed opinions about them, but that is because they won't add my record (A Google search will pull up the YouTube videos so you can see how long ago it was when I recorded that record). The bad thing about that record, is that even though it is a really good run, I did not open up the crazy space halfpipe level (I still have no clue how it happens, but it happens for me every once in awhile), and I messed up a few times. Still an awesome score, but it is something I could beat with enough practice.

Oh well, I guess to each their own.

I donated a Space Invaders Deluxe to Walter for the ivghof Iowa museum at the big bang event in 2010. I have no idea where that machine is now because the museum doesn't exist yet.

Walter was extremely gracious and I'm glad I could make a contribution...but I really wonder where my machine is sometimes...

I'm donating some games. But however they are going to ACAM. They should be on the floor for all to enjoy soon with the other 7 I donated the other day. I love donating games but I have to go with the place that actually has a museum and actually displays the games for the public to enjoy. IVGHOF has a lot of work to do to make me feel comfortable donating anything. Lots of people wondering where their donated machines went doesn't help.

Very understandable. Thanks all for the feedback. It will be passed on. I want this thing to happen as much as the next guy (maybe even more) but this will all be good things to bring to the attention of the IVGHOF.
