Nothing says "public humiliation" quite like...

Hey, don't knock it -- I see plenty of pictures of guys that didn't win squat! So what is this place - looks like a nickel arcade? Pretty cool that you even have an arcade in your town. Not only that, but tournaments!

What is that, $13.00 or $9.00?

And was your score the 11,000,000 or did the winner get the the machine high score, and yours was 17,000,000?

I'm trying to remember..I think the entry fee was 5$, so I want to say my split was 13$. There were two rounds...a "qualifier" then a "playoff". I had the highest overall score on the qualifier round with 57 million, nobody even got close, I think the next guy was like 45. I *tanked* in the playoff, obviously. Had like 7 or 8 million? The guy that won was the guy that was taking money for the entries and tracking the score...still trying to figure out how it's fair that he was even allowed to take the place of a guy that would've been in the finals, but left prior to them. Guess that's just my ethics alarm going WTF WTF WTF...he won finals with 21 million. I'm just bitching about it at this point, I'm gonna shut up about that...I'll get my translite one way or another. :|

It's a nickel arcade...they had kept both Trons for a week or two after the launch, but now have just one, and it's set REALLY conservative...was actually easier to play when they had it inclined more and had the disc magnet set way up high to shoot the balls back out fast.

They got rid of one and got an Indiana Jones (Stern) and Batman (Stern), so not really a bad deal for them...they now have like 7 different pinballs, pretty cool.

Pin games are 15 cents a pop, and you pay 2.95 to get in. You make back your money easy. I think the awesome part is since they're not a typical arcade, they don't have any real concessions...they don't have to have a food licence or staff for it, keeps their costs down, and they let you bring in your own food and drink. :)

*Edit* I put the certificate on my desk at work with the three die-cast tron lightcycles that were released, just so I can remind myself how much I SUUUUUUUCK, lol. :)
