Not THAT is one rare beast: Space Pirate

That's a keeper for sure. Holy crap I like that.

That cabinet is beautiful. Definitely some of the best artwork I have seen. It's retro, it's futuristic, it's colorful, it's 2-player; what's not to like?

Does anyone know anything about the gameplay for this one?

EDIT: Looks like it is a clone/bootleg of Cinematronics' "Rip Off." That's a fun game. Plus, this Zaccaria version looks MUCH cooler than the Cinematronics one. I'm very jealous. :p

very nice. I like the control panel overlay, but side art and monitor bezel are a bit much... Looks like it might have some black lighting elements behind the plexi.

Is it just me, or does the cabinet look a little short.. Probably a bad pic..

Yep :) Sorry that I "stole" it Ully ;)

Zaccaria cabs are short in general. My theory is that Italian people are generally a bit smaller than we Western guys (West/northern Europe, US)

OR they targeted at kids more ?

I do know that they are even worse than Nintendo cabs for me to play standing so I have to sit on a stool to play these.

Zaccaria's artwork was always "over the top" but somehow I like it, but this one has to be one of the coolest :)

Yes it is either a bootleg or a license of Rip Off. The PCBs show Cinematronics in the copper layer and Zaccaria on the white text prints on top so it still could be either (maybe they just didn't bother removing the Cinematronics name. Also, the cab nor the manual shows any "licensed from" signs (from what I can see on the pics).
However, Zaccaria mostly was a "decent" company and licensed most of their games AFAIK. (there were others that did do bootlegs, I know of a "Take off" machine, also in Germany).

What is also interesting is that this machine (if info is correct) has a Hantarex vector monitor inside. I wonder if this is digital or analogue ? I think it is analogue, like most vector monitors.

Hmmm... I worked for an operator in the 80's/90's that had a bunch of zaccaria games. Pins, vids he probably had 80-100 in total. I seem to recall that game/cab (several of them as a matter of fact). Not sure what ended up happening to them but if they were anything like their pinball counterparts he probably tossed them.

I've got a mental image of 10 or so of those cabs lined up in his basement.

I'm the lucky owner of this beautiful Space Pirate, it is waiting for pick up at Ully's place in Germany.I could send more pics in a few weeks if anybody inetrested.

Nice find! I love these obscure and beautifully overdone cabs. I passed up a nice Zaccaria Mars for 150 a year or two back, still kicking myself for that one...
