5 minutes already and that CL listing is gone. Glad you took a photo and added to this thread!

Someone in Michigan got lucky with this find, unless it was a scam.

I get that feeling too... anyway, if it shows up for a grand tomorrow someone will have some leverage at least. Besides it takes me a day or so to remove my listing even after I sell it....ha.

Not real sure why Mappy is the expensive flavor of the week. Got mine for $125 fully working a few years back.

You just got a good deal, thats all. Its an excellent game and not real easy to find. That game in working condition should bring $400-$500 any day.
Hope that was not a scam and someone from klov scored it.

Id buy a Mappy today if I could find it for 4 or 5 hundy .

When I bought a Mappy a few years ago, under the coin box was a sealed factory packaging containing the leg levelers, a midway security tool and extra security screws and some post cards for warranty and such. It was kind of rad and I still use this tool today.

Def. not a flavor of the week. Tons of people love Mappy. I'd pay 4 times that right now.

I guess I'm more talking about the fact that Mappy's are being listed and sold at a grand and up. Definitely well worth 400-500, but not 1000.

What is a midway security tool? Can you post a photo of it?

I'm assuming it's the special bit that turns the bolt/screws on the cab, right?

I spent 700 on a working Mappy, and I am driving from NW Ohio to Kentucky to pick it up. This is my son's favorite arcade game, and I played hell finding one for sale. It was on the list so...check!

Yes, It's the TORX brand T-25, Solid on one end, security bit on the on the other. Good stuff!

I've found a few of them. What seems to be a bit rarer is the special tool that SNK put with the LS-30 rotary joysticks. Only come across 1 of them.
