Just got a email from Super Auctions about there up coming auction in SC at Collins Amusements. Wasn't this the place that they had a auction before and the owner got pissed at his stuff going to cheap so they shut the auction down and kicked people out. I think there were like 3 floors of stuff. I guess SA is trying to hang on for dear life.

Already posted about this in General section.

But, yeah, I thought they went out of biz and/or ripped a bunch of seller off in TX. Doesn't their site say they're no longer doing auctions, too?

Whatever. It's in SC anyways.

I know there have been a couple threads but as far as I know nothing recent. They tried to come back to TX and the people they screwed screwed them. They said they were going to have like 500 games and there were maybe 30 games. I turned around and left. I heard they had to pay like 7K just to rent the place. They tried to do it a week before the new company American Amusement Auctions.

Oh lol, no, I mean I posted about this like 3 hours ago. :D

Good to know they got theirs trying to come back. Damn shady bunch of carnie fucks. :/

I was told that they owed the venue for the previous auction and they were required to pay for that and to pay up front for the auction that failed.

There were a whopping 26 games for sale. All the sellers promised to bring things and almost nobody did. You don't screw those that bring you items to sell! It was an amazing screwing by the folks that had games to sell and should've sent a HUGE message to SA.

As far as I know they still owe a LOT of money to sellers from the Mesquite, TX, auctions AND to the crew that worked the auctions. They are still HOT about that.

Lol, thier return auction here in Fl was a little better, but not by much. They had 2 rows of mostly garbage that the sellers just wanted gone (my opinion), if I remember right they had 5 pins, all older, only 1 (maybe 2?) even worked and it was worn into the wood everywhere. 2 women got into a bidding war on it and it brought double what it should have.

Thier card processing company refused to work for them, so it was a cash only sale (people had to scramble to find cash, as it was advertised as CC accepted)

I talked to several operators that brought truckloads of games to the sale. Once they found out that it was a cash sale, but that they wouldnt get paid for several weeks they all told me they left thier good stuff sitting in the trucks.

I did buy one nice pin at that sell, but that transaction was in the parking lot:D

unfortunately, we have no other company doing auctions here in Fl, so I guess were out of luck until one of the other companies fills the void

A trip to Greenville for me is only about three hours out. I'll likely go to it and see how things look. If it's crap, I can always go by Hot Rods and make the trip worthwhile. :)

i will be attending! ill be wearing a bengals hat ;)

hope to meet ya and any other klovers there

I got an email last night that they're having one in St. Louis on December 21st. I'm going to go but I'm sure it will be slim pickings. Last time they had one here they barely had 70 machines I'd say.

super auctions

I dont think we will ever see the machines or turn outs that use to be at the auctions. I do belive that Rob is trying to make amends of what he did to people and i personally am glad to see them having auctions again. I dont condone what he did but i do belive he deserves a second chance. I really hope it turns around again for him. Of course thats just my 2 cents.

When I hear the sellers in Dallas going "OMG! He paid me what he owed me!!!!" and the guys working the auctions say "OMG! He paid us the salaries that he owed us!!!!" I'll believe it.

I think Rob is trying to make amends too. But he's probably starting with the people with which the amends are the lowest $ cost. He settled up with me at the last St. Louis auction and even gave me extra money to make up for the screwing. It worked....I'll give him another chance.

Not only does he deserve a second chance....Jesus says he deserves 70 times 7 chances....and knowing Rob, he might need them! Just kidding....I think he's a decent guy at heart. I had more of a problem with some of the drunk, stoned jerks who worked for him than I did with Rob himself.

"Why? Why would ANYONE buy from Super Auctions again???"

It's one thing to be a selfish prick... it's a whole other level of douchbaggery to post about it here knowing full well that there are TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS owed to multiple members of this community."

1. If you contribute a single cent to Super Auctions the scammers, you are a piece of excrement. I have no problem saying that here or face to face.

2. If you contribute a single cent to Super Auctions the scammers, then post about it here. You are a STUPID piece of excrement. Again... I have no problem saying that here or face to face."

Oh. wait...

/sarcasm off.

I'll go on the record here and say my post was only to point out how extreme dealings with ANOTHER seller here have been and to contrast the two.

I've picked up plenty of cheap games from Super Auctions. Hopefully not at the expense of people who have had not-as-rosy outcomes with them.

Yours truly-
Phantom Bidder

Just to answer Noice's question. The old man did kick everyone out of the auction several years ago. (2006 I believe). I went to the 2008 Greenville auction, got screwed by the "carnie fucks" :) and promised myself I would never deal with SA again. They put themselves in the situation they are in and I personally will not give them a second chance.
