Thanks to Jim(YodaInMn) I finally got the NOS Willis cpo installed on my Centipede. Jim tore the old ugly yellow one off and put this NOS one on. While everything was apart I cleaned up the trackball assembly and oiled the bearings. The rollers are worn, but it still plays good. At some point I will replace them.

I got the overlay cheap from someone here on the forums probably about 18 months ago. It has a permanent crease going thru it, and part of one corner was aged badly and was missing the glue underneath. Turned out fine. I'm not too picky. Looks a lot better than the old one. Not sure if the old one was a Willis as well. Does anyone know?

Thanks Jim!

Absolutely gorgeous Johnny Boy. That's one of my favorite Willis overlays of all time. OF ALL TIME. For some reason it always reminds me of Big Trouble in Little China. I liked your old one too. Made me think of my old lady neighbor's kitchen back in the late 70's.

Can someone explain what the willis thing is all about. A bootleg company or something that sold 3rd party art back in the day

You just answered your own question. Looks good John, remind me not to use brute force when removing old overlays. Gives me something nice to look at while imprisoned over here at the clinic for the next 24-7...4 days. Keep the posts rolling!

I think you are the only one who liked that old overlay! It sure was unique I guess in its own weird kind of way. I do love the new one. I just had to have that instead of an original repro.

LOVE IT John- it's one of my favorite cpo's, Willis or otherwise.

Yeah, me too. The guy I got it from(for the life of me I can't remember who) had quite a number of NOS Willis cpo's for Centipede. I think I got the last one, hence the crease and damage. But hell, the price was right and it still looks ok so it all turned out good.
