Wico Sticks

Hey, I actually have a few more of those blue ones.

How much should I sell those for? I have no clue when it comes to joysticks. Not looking to make a killing, Im all for giving someone a good deal, but I just would like to get a fair sale price for them.

Any idea how much they should normally sell for?

Damn, those look like 4" handles, too. Blue 4" are rare.

You just gave away a fortune, my friend.

what game(s) did the blue wico joysticks go into?

I was only interested in the red wico, but some guy took all 4 joysticks within minutes of the listing!

Rumor has it that 6-player X-Men used 4" Wicos in different colors. However those were micros, from what I've seen. The shafts would be the same, though. See here:

Still not sure what else used 4", but I've found 4" blue and purple shafts in various lots of parts I've picked up.

Also, if anyone needs 4" red Wicos, I still have some. They aren't NOS, but honestly there's little to no difference in feel IMO. The bases would need to be extremely worn to feel a difference, and the refurbished sticks and bases I sell are all good condition anyway.

6 player xmen did use 4" wico shafts, its not a rumor :)

From the top of the cp, they don't look that tall. But underneath the cp, unlike konami games that used 3.5" shafts, the bases were not routed into the panel. So the thickness of the cp takes away from the height and makes them look closer to 3.5" shafts.

Oh yeah, I remember my 4 player X-Men having 4" shafts too.

That's interesting. Was the underside of the CP routed out for each stick?

I've been under the impression that X-men was the same as TMNT, and used four 3.5" sticks (Blue, Red, Yellow, Purple). But if that's not the case, I'd be interested to know.

Yes, indeed it was.

If that was the case, 3.5" would work, but obviously the 4" will work too, but just stick up more (no pun intended).

Do you know if they were original?

I stand corrected looking at one of my old threads. X-MEN control panels were NOT routed underneath, and am now 100% certain of that :)

This X-MEN 4 player I had was 100% original down to the nut and bolt, and it did have 4" Wico's for sure, but they were not leaf, they were microswitch Wico's.

How can it be 100% original down to the last bolt when the thread you linked to was about the blue Wico joystick was a replacement and you had length issues on sourcing another replacement?

Geez, are you a lawyer for Pete's sake? lol.

Ok, so the replacement was not from the same X-MEN, but it was an exact replacement for what used to be there.

99% original :)
