NOS WG 6100 XY HV transformers on eBay

These are being discussed on VectorList, so they'll likely sell out.
I would buy directly from arcadeshop.com website instead of ebay. YMMV

You have to call them though.. I don't think the site is ready to take orders. Ebay, it's like clicky click and you're done (and Ebay gets a cut)

OK, I'll admit I bought two just incase they all do get sold. LOL - nuthin' better than NOS (unless they're dried out).

I just used the CONTACT form on the new site and Steven got an email.
Within minutes we were discussing shipping and he sent me a PP invoice. Done. Don't need to actually talk to any human nor use CrapBay. :p

If I used Ebay, my shipping charge was almost the same as the item cost (2). So, for my circumstance, this was better. YMMV

So I went a little monitor crazy this past year. Always good to have spares. These pics dont include the monitors I already have at home.

FYI, I'd strongly recommend something better than cardboard under the face of that bare tube. I stored some like that, and the faces got scratched up. These days, I take sheets of foam and tape a double layer over it. I only lost a couple TV tubes, but, not a mistake I'll be making again.

I bought four of the HVTs. I bought a couple NOS a few years back & ended up needing one for the monitor in my Tempest. Can't turn down parts like this at those prices, you just never know when you'll need one.

Yea, the dirt simply settles down on the edges of the cardboard and works its way down between the glass and proceeds to scratch it up. Tape foam over the glass.

I hear you guys. That monitor was only placed like that for the pic. Since then, these monitors have been moved and stored correctly at my house.

Lol, that pic is at my front office at work.

When they first appeared a couple weeks ago, I called and placed my order over the phone. I asked how many flybacks were in that box pictured on eBay, and the response was "We have waaaay more than you need, how many would you like?" They had already sold almost 100 of them (I would guess 100-144 in a case/box).

Since the question was technically 'dodged,' I read that response as : "We have more than one box/case of them." Could be as much as a pallet of cases found in some supply or repair warehouse.

But given their popularity, I wouldn't be surprised if they ration out some immediately and then store cases to be pulled out and sold for more money in the future (I would). Once the community has installed a few and determined if they are good, I can see the price doubling for future cases since new repros cost the same (and more) currently.

In short, don't hurry... but hurry :D
