NOS Space Invaders WG 19v1001 question after cap kit

I bought this NOS chassis some time ago. I had already capped it since it had been sitting for so many years, it ran great in my store for months and months. I guess it's not NOS anymore since I've used it for months. Recently it had gone kind of crazy where it was really bright on the bottom and dark at the top so I brought the game home until I felt like redoing the caps. I did that just now and it looks like this:

My question is this:

What did I mess up? Is this some other issue other than caps?

Did you plug the yoke back up properly? Some of those old black & white yokes have "extra" tabs on the yoke.....making it easy to plug into the wrong one.

Let me know if you find a fix.

Mine was doing the same thing. I replaced several components in the vertical section to no avail.
Actually after replacement, mine looked fine for about 20 seconds then it burned up a resistor near the yoke output. Reinstalled new output transistors and a higher wattage resistor- same thing.

It's been sitting for a month now.

I used these for replacements for the output transistors:
2N5192GOS-ND TRANS NPN PWR GP 4A 80V TO225AA WG V1000 VERT Q215
2N5195GOS-ND TRANS PNP PWR GP 4A 80V TO225AA WG V1000 VERT Q216

It's got me scratching my head, including questioning whether I have the outputs mounted backward or something.

It will probably turn out to be something stupid.
