I have several NOS Pokey chips available. These are pulls from NIB Atari carts, which I desoldered, cleaned, and tested myself.

$65 each, plus $5 shipping (any quantity).
(e.g., two for $135 shipped, three for $200 shipped)

I'll also warranty these for 1 year. If it dies, just pay to ship it back and I'll replace it.

Let's see a close-up picture of the pins. :)
I believe I've only ever removed one POKEY from a BallBlazer cart.
The remaining ones (carts) which I own are still NIB. (laughs)

Pin pics added to the OP.

All pins have been cleaned of excess solder, straightened with a pair of duckbill pliers, and burnished with a Dremel wire wheel brush.

Oh... Got a link for the ones you use?

I have three pairs. Two are no-names that I don't even remember where I got them. The other are made by Wubbers. The Wubbers are actually my least favorite, only because they don't have cushioned grips. (They're just green paint, straight on the metal.) But they work fine. Link:

The key thing if you're going to buy some are to get ones that have thin/narrow jaws, as they come in different thicknesses. You want the jaws to be skinny enough to fit between chip legs the 'other' way (i.e., not just for flattening the pins, but for straightening them as well, by turning them 90 degrees, so you can make them straight as well as flat, if that makes sense).

Any other ones that look the same as the Wubbers will be fine.

Anyone else notice all the "NOS POKEYs" seem to be as shown (and those in my own stock) -> AMI w/ large text and the large white line. Curious.
Perhaps AMI was the last to make them?

Compare these to the "more common" ones I find pre-installed on OG Atari boards. YMMV
  • C012294B-01 — AMI
  • C012294-03 — Signetics
  • C012294-19 — National Semiconductor
  • C012294-22 — OKI
  • C012294-31 — IMP

well i am confused ?
are these NOS or refurbished ?
as i read de-solder and legs straightened

They're pulls from new-in-box Atari cartridges. So the chips have never been used (since the cartridges were not used).

But they needed to be physically desoldered and removed from the cartridge PCB's, which takes some work to clean and straighten the legs.
