I recently acquired this, with plans of putting it in my game room but now I'm thinking it might not be the best idea for myself. The unit is literally brand new, never used, I plugged it in and the compressor fires up and it gets cold. I'm assuming everything should work but have not tried hooking up co2/water/syrup.

Does anyone know anything about this? Or a value for it? I can't find anything comparable for sale. I have had one person in my local arcade group say he has the same or similar one with offers for over $500 on it.

Any info would be awesome, just trying to figure out what I have here more or less.

These are a tough sell for home use....;)
Cool little unit, had a similar one for Coke in my stores back in the day.

Would make a fun addition to the arcade or movie room. IIRC, Costco used to sell the bag in the Box for it. Main issue is that a 5gal box would last well beyond the expiration date in a home setting. Unless you have the dream of bouncing off the walls from all the sugar! ;)

I don't feel that any restaurant would use such an old machine anymore either....

Real cool find though! Thanks for sharing!
Still have the label pouch for the heads?

Yeah, it does require a hardline of water for it to run. Possibly could be modified to run just on its internal tank and would require a manual refill when it's out.

Unfortunately, I don't have the labels for it. They must have fallen out at some point or something. I have all the manuals and they were still in plastic, but no labels to be found.

I actually work at 14 restaurants, so procuring mix and co2 (I could even just steal like 1/2 gal of syrup) isn't going to be an issue for myself.

It's been a while since I have used those units, I believe that it needs the ice bin under it to help maintain the proper temp too.

The water line is usually not an issue, the venting of the c02 would be. 20 years ago, no one cared about a little c02 getting in the air if there was a leak....today? Oh boy. There are little 100lb cylinders to easily hook up but I dealt with bulk being pumped in a permanent tank. So, YMMV.

Cool piece of nostalgia! To the right collector, not someone that would use in a commercial setting, it's a cool addition to a movie or game room!

Awesome find! Where did this "pop" up at?

Tell me about it, I was doing a network install for a location we shut down, remodeled, and opened. When I was down in the basement fishing wires through rafters I bumped a co2 line, finished my work, and went upstairs. The line I guess landed on an incandescent bulb that melted it, filling up the whole basement with co2. Had to shut everything down and evacuate the basement for a few hours.

I found it on k-bid.com usually it's store closings or estate sales. Arcades pop up on it from time to time. I just buy stuff I want to buy for myself or resell stuff in my spare time.
