Tube still has protective plastic on the front....any ideas of what this would be worth?
Thanks

Is that NOS ? I'd think it was a rebuild (given the "video display corp" tag on it ?

And other than more phosphor dots, the Amplifone 19" is a 90 degree tube... so would it really be worth as much as a 100 degree 19" tube for a WG6100 ???

Now a 25" Amplifone is a 100 degree 25" tube. And other than I seem to hear of more finds of 100 degree tubes in 25" televisions than 19" 100 degree tubes in 19" televisions.... I would think it would be worth more than either of the 19" tubes (Amplifone 19" M 90 degree tube and "WG6100" 100 degree 19" tube).

Yes , the testicle is NOS - ( well , barely used ) and I'll take a G for it ( buyer to pay all surgical/medical bills ) .

Rut-roh Raggy!

I lean towards that being a rebuilt tube as well, for the following reasons : CRT label is clearly worn and looks to have been washed, convergence strips are missing and/or have been relocated, and NOS tubes (with yokes) never included degauss coils.

Moreover, I see a possibly serious problem - the plastic 'nipple' at the CRT connector is broken off, and it looks like the tip of the (glass) neck is also broken off. If so, it's outgassed and you'll be salvaging the yoke and chucking that burn-free tube in the trash
.

WANTED!!! : DECO Cassette System Cages/PCB's - Amplifone M48AAW00X Tubes - Robotron Cabaret - NEO GEO AES Joysticks - NeoSaveMasta - PuLiRuLa PCB - Sailor Moon PCB

So, you're saying that the testicle is probably the better buy here? Fascinating.:eek:

100% is a rebuild, not NOS tube. It's still probably worth some coin.

Agree that the busted pin cover is troubling. The glass itself seems fine, but the tube should be tested before any sale is made.

Interesting, conflicting mix of traits - the VDC sticker, plastic on the front, and no convergence strips, but yoke and degaussing coil. And what's with the long yoke wires?

Cwilbar is right that 19" 90° tubes are common, but those extra dense phosphor dots make a big difference. And the 90° vector yoke is pretty hard to find.

EDIT: I think the plastic cover for the nipple wouldn't fit over it once the tube was rebuilt and re-vaccuumed. It seems when it was pinched closed the nipple got a bit too wide and maybe too long (and a bit tilted). None of that should matter as long as the neck socket fits, which seems likely.

How about some numbers, assuming it is working (but maybe not converged)? Everything seems expensive (except for complete Asteroids machines) so maybe $600?

The tubes I bought new from VDC came with that same protective plastic on the front; it was installed by VDC after rebuilding. I suspect the owner shipped it to VDC with the yoke & such still attached. The yoke and rings, (and wedges) had to be removed to rebuild, and they reinstalled the yoke + rings before shipping back.

The only thing that strikes me as incongruent is the presence of some new-looking convergence strips / marks where the originals used to be mounted. Not sure what's up with that.

$5-600 seems fair to me.

The tube was tested and works great - nice bright picture and zero burn. Convergence rings are loose so there's som tweaking to be done but it seems the yoke was properly position after rebuild.
