Norcal Storage Raid?

Yeah I just called him and he has a dozen of them he got from an auction.
He doesn't know if they work but he sold one recently and it tested working.

I guess that's worth it.

I wish we could take the time to pick through this storage unit though. It's just to hard to get organized in ONE day.

If anyone is taking point on this, I'll commit cash and live local to help out. I'm probably 10 mins from there.

Care to share what you know? Do you know anything about the physical condition of the games?

I'm not 100% sure that I even know this guy so I cant say. Some of those titles and his name/location are very familiar to me.

If these are the games I'm thinking of I have not "seen" them in close to 15 years so theres no telling what they look like now.

Hehe... I'm in SoCal right now. The FIRST place I went to for food was In-n-Out. I kept one french fry and the wrapper that the burger was in so I can ship them to a friend of mine that lives in Denver. He's from SoCal and teases me by calling me from an In-n-Out when he's out here. I'll fix his ass! LOL!

Hmm... I always wondered what happened to that Tron...

Stop beating around the bush, if they were yours, or you think they were yours, spill it. If they were stolen, or you think they were stolen, etc, spill it :)

Nah, no spillage going on here. Lets just say I know where some of that stuff came from. Its all been long written off so theres no issues there.

Who ever goes to grab the stuff say hi to Tom for me!

Matt,

Did you know an operator that was just a block or two north of the SJ airport? I bought my first Space Duel from an operators warehouse there.

Yup, worked for him for 10+ years. I may have even sold you that Space Duel. Was it dirt cheap? Do you recall what year that was?

I have the receipt around here somewhere and will look for it... They had a sign on the side of the building that said arcade games for sale or something along those lines. So I just stopped in on my lunch break. I'm thinking 1993 or so and I bought the Space Duel for $400. It was in pretty nice shape but it had to be repaired before I could pick it up. Monitor probably just got capped or something since it was a little off before hand. It worked until a couple years ago and that is when I found KLOV.

I tried to find the location on Google Maps. Was it on Lafayettte near the railroad tracks? I remember something about being on an overpass or underpass in that general area when seeing the sign.

And lets just say he had quite a few Mr. Do's sitting around from what I recall. :D

Edit: 1708 Lafayette St, Santa Clara, CA, United States is where I think it was.

93... Yeah, I was working for Jim at that time but at night as it was my side job by then. The address was 1777 Lafayette Street. The building is still there but its been converted to swanky ass apartments. I really had a ton of fun working there....

I thought the two peaks in the middle of those apartments was it, but it all looked new since they built around it or something. Anyway, that is cool. I wonder if you fixed my Space Duel at night. :)

Poor Tom , he told me today when I was there that some kid kicked him in the back over 50 cents and now hes disabled because of it . I could tell by his walk his back got jacked from it . I think hes pretty bitter about arcades now .

Isn't that crazy !??

Anyways I use to play some of these games back in the day at the local movie theaters in Newark and Fremont , like the 720 , stun Runner and X-men .

Wow, kicked in the back. That does suck...

OMG he got assaulted over 50 cents?
The way that arcade games get thrashed I would be so bitter also. All you do all day long is fix stuff that rotten kids break. Then they hurt you for life over it...
