Picked up a Neo-Geo cab today and it has been stripped bare....but they left the 25" tube in it...just the tube. No neckboard, no chassis. They didn't even leave the anode cap! I've cleaned a lot of dirt off this machine so far, so this is a twofold question..

1. Leaving the anode cap off like that, going to cause a lot of problems due to dust getting in there? If so, anything I can do about it?

2. I'm getting a rejuv unit in a few days. Looks like this tube will hook up to the CR23 adapter I already have for my 20EZ by looking at the neck pins and plastic key part... is it possible to test it without the anode cap, or should I just leave it be until I can get ahold of one?

Really anxious to see if this tube's worth anything, I picked up the cab as a freebie to MAME, but if the thing works, I might just go whole hog and get it back to it's original setup.

*Edit* There's not even a yoke on it...I'm feeling like this is a lost cause...

You should remove the anode when rejuving a tube.

Tubes are sealed, and there is no way for anything to get into a good tube.

Right, I guess that would make sense because you'd want it discharged before plugging up the rejuv..lol.. Derp.
