When moving a pinball machine up a flight of stairs, am I correct in thinking I can just remove the head and carry it up. Then remove the legs and glass and move them up. Then put the body on a dolly in the upright position and dolly that up?

I know it probably seems like a silly question but I've never moved one up stairs. I plan on checking inside the body to make sure there isn't anything loose before I put it upright but I shouldn't damage anything by doing that right? :dunno:

TIA, :beerchug:

Depends on the game. Most of the time I fold the head down on to the body, strap it, remove the back legs, lay it on it's back, remove the front legs and go. Oh yeah... remove the balls first.

We need a FAQ for this kind of stuff... I've written pages of the same advice over and over.

If you remove the head (for weight), make sure to label all the cables with masking table and a letter system. Most cables only fit with their mate, so it's not possible to rewire it incorrectly, but the labels just makes it easier.

I often just snap several high res digital photos when taking out pcb's and or pulling a pin head off.

Just double check your work after putting it back together!
