Ok so I have never owned an arcade little on work on one so I have a question.

I am looking at a machine that is for sale a couple of hrs away from me that is maxium force. The guy said that the right gun goes looses connection every now and then but everything else was perfect.

Is this typically pretty hard/expensive to fix or would it be simple. The guy said it was prob just a loose connection but he wasnt sure. He wants $350 for the machine, good deal bad deal???

Thanks in advance

speaking as someone that has to work on gun games constantly, there are several factors that go into why they work sometimes or don't work at all.

loose connections, maybe. there's instances where there's breaks in wires going to the gun board as well. the good news is I think these games just came with the Happ .45s, and I particularly like them cause they're lightweight so if they drop there's not a whole lot that can go wrong with them (which is an issue when you have parents leaving their toddlers unattended...)

I've personally never cracked one of those open, I replaced the DOGSHIT Sega guns on a Virtua Cop with them and they're very accurate and durable. they're the only guns that haven't been broken yet.

it depends on what the gun is doing too. if the trigger works fine, then you have a problem either with the gun optic, or wiring for the optic, or you have a dirty lens/monitor glass/monitor focus/power supply voltage issue.

I know it sounds complicated, but it's all very easy fixes, and as long as you're not operating on location like my family's gun games are, you shouldn't have many problems.

for $350, if the cabinet is in decent shape, and the monitor puts out a good picture, I would go for that deal any day of the week.

and worse case scenario if the gun is broken..? call Happ up and order a new one. their guns are very cheap.

thanks for the quick reply

thanks so much for the quick reply, I guess my biggest fear is its burnt out on the board itself instead of a gun issue but like i said I am a noob when it comes to arcades.

I think I am going to try and buy it though.

I graduated with a computer science degree so surely if I can program my life way then I can get into arcade machines.

Its not going to be out on a route or anything, just trying to get a cool game room in my home to make me feel like a kid again.
